Kitchens, bathroom styles & trends

Whether your style leans towards traditional, contemporary, rustic, arts and crafts, formal, funky, or classic, Sparta Trades Kitchen and Bath Remodeling can help you create a kitchen or bathroom to fit you and your style.  There are countless kitchen and bathroom styles to choose from.

Below are some of the design elements, styles, and options available to customize your remodeling project.

Skylight:

Light, bright, and airy, skylights add tons of interest—not to mention light—especially when designed with shelves or on vaulted ceilings with mood lighting. Available with automatic openings as well as rain-sensing controls, skylights now come with shades to block high sun. It’s essential that only quality skylights be installed, and then correctly and carefully. See our own skylights at Sparta Trades Kitchens and Baths showroom.

Tubular Skylight:

This can be a great way to add energizing and uplifting daylight to a kitchen or bathroom.  With a tubular skylight, you get the day lighting benefits of a skylight, but will less re-framing and construction.  We love them so much, we have one in our office and another in our bathroom.  These functional displays are available for you to see at our showroom.

Lighting:

Whether for task, mood or ambiance, the right lighting makes an enormous difference.  Perhaps you want under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen, or an LED safety light in your bath, dimmers for adjusting the light to fit your mood or the mood your want to set.  Sparta Trades Kitchens and Baths can help with a lighting design to reflect your personal style and needs.

Heated Floors = Warm Feet = Warm Hearts:

Imagine a winter morning when you can walk barefoot onto a warm bathroom or kitchen floor! Radiant heated floors can be pre-programmed to go on and off at times that are convenient for you and your family while serving as an economical source of general heat in your room.  That’s because with radiant-heated floors, the heat is where you want it and where it’s most efficient, not up on the ceiling (remember, heat rises).  Most commonly electric, radiant-heated floors can also be hydronic (water-based).  Sparta Trades Kitchens and Baths can help you make the best choice for your family.

Universal Design:

Specific designs and materials to allow ease of access to all, regardless of age or ability, Universal Design is a concept useful to an ever-growing portion Sparta Trades Kitchen and Baths’ clientele. Please see our Blog as we have a number of interesting and proven solutions for making your home safe, comfortable, attractive and secure.

Green Design:

To limit our carbon footprint and energy cost while increasing comfort and durability, more people are turning to this fast growing area of design.  Sparta Trades has knowledge of several aspects of Green Design.

Make-Up Areas:

Designed and sized to accommodate your personal needs, with special attention to lighting, outlets, mirrors and storage space, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without one.  These personalized spaces increase organization and comfort, which help save you time while looking your best!

Double Sinks:

Many couples decide that separate bathroom counter top areas, including double sinks, make mornings more “agreeable”.  We get it.  We can help design a bathroom tailored to your needs and with the right amount of storage and functional space to help keep us all a little brighter in the morning.

Toilets:

Higher toilets for ease of seating,  self-closing seats, quick-release seats, and seats with built-in bidets are all options that can add comfort and convenience.

Whirlpool Tubs:

For relief from tired muscles and an achy back from physical ailments, exercise, driving, cleaning, sports, gardening, household chores or whatever you are dealing with, a whirlpool tub can be an oasis of comfort and relaxation.  Consult with your design professional at Sparta Trades Kitchens and Baths for the many sizes and shapes available.

Glass blocks:

Once the height of fashion, glass blocks have come back into favor for their versatility in combining light and privacy.

Fresh food preparation:

More and more people are eating greater amounts of fresh foods.  If you need more places to store, wash, prepare, enjoy your meals, compost, and recycle, then they can be integrated into a design to make this more comfortable and convenient.

In-shower seating:

Whether a built-in bench seat, perhaps with room for two, or a durable, elegant, and space-saving folding seat, a place to sit down or rest your feet on while showering is a highly functional and pleasurable element worth considering.
